omg! its been a really long time since i've last blogged. wow. its a new year and a fresh start to my school life! i've just graduated from mg and im officially school-less until the posting results come out next week. so yeah, the agony of waiting it just kills me softly.

apart from my posting, quite alot has changed in my life. well, i've just turned 17 [it still sounds kinda strange when i tell people im 17, it makes me feel really old] and i've got quite a bit of church-related commitments like being an aysgl (Assistant Youth Small Group Leader) slash helper to a group of 13 year olds,philotheos and now im gonna volunteer my time for FUSION '09. dont get me wrong, im not complaining, in fact, im more than happy to be serving the Lord in so many different ways. :D i've come to a realisation that i've only got less than 3 years in YM before my ysg (Youth Small Group) moves over to the main church and if i dont make full use of the time left i have with my group, we're gonna drift apart and everything's gonna change. so yeah, in a desperate race against time, my group has been organising tons of activities to bond profusely. and on top of that, we've been having combined outings with another ysg and hey! we all bond quite well. so yeah, YM's group of 17 year olds are pretty much very bonded and im sure this is what the committee wants to see in all the youths. not just seeing each other on sunday only, but to keep tabs on each other during the week. HOPEFULLY, my 13 year olds can do the same and enjoy each other's company as much as i enjoy the company of my own ysg, although my ysg likes tormenting me in search of amusement. how very nice of them.

moving on, i've been TRYING to read andrew's book on bible study. whoa its difficult to comprehend. i must admit i dont like reading books, especially wordy books. and this book just happens to be filled with words ONLY. omggg. its a torture on my brain. but im trying to absorb as much as i can. i read like one chapter a day. hahaha. it may not sound alot, but truth is, its alot. for the sake of better quiet time and bible study, im gonna finish the book. some way or another. do you feel my sense of determination? you better say yes.

ah yes, i was watching channel news asia today, and there's a new horror movie in town! OMG! anyone wanna go watch?! REC was quite terrible already but this one sounds pretty okay. hahaha. its called EDEN LAKE. maybe i'll make it a facebook event for God's Chosen People to attend. hahaha. sometimes in life, you'll need a little excitement. this is, by my definition, that kind of excitement. :D

and and and im organising an outing with meera! ahaha. its gonna be really interesting! details of the outing another day. i cant wait!i cant wait!

i think im gonna start using really bombastic words in my blogposts, if not my english wouldnt improve and my general paper is gonna fail. so yeah. BOMBASTIC words. now now, where should i even start?thats a headache.

i cant believe i survived three days without my computer! hahaha. i was at a kindergarten teachers' retreat and basically, i didnt have any communication device, just my phone. THANK GOODNESS! i would have died of boredom. like seriously, there wasnt much i could do in the suite. [the teachers needed a huge room to accomodate 15 of them during all their meetings, thus the suite] i couldnt play golf cos my dad wasnt around, i couldnt bowl cos there was some competition, i couldnt swim cos there was no one to swim with me. yeah i know, slacking's fun. but when you're stuck in a room all day long, slacking doesnt sound all that fun. thankfully, there was something called the tv. that kept me entertained most of the time. oh yeah, and there was mahjong.

i really cant stand long nails. it collects dirt under the nails, which is just so damn unhygenic. argh. i was contemplating to keep long nails so that i can paint it since i dont have any piano lessons until next year,but the dirt issue is driving me nuts. although long nails are really elegant, but just thinking of the dirt trapped underneath it irks me. so there. no long nails for me. SNIP SNIP SNIP! all gone. yay.

i just rejected an invite to play guitar hero at andrew's house. sucks to be family oriented, if there's such a word to start with. im gonna plan a party at andrew's house another day. ahhaha. he claims he can cook well. ahhaha. we shall see. :D

today's movie-to-watch-during-lunch: the sisterhood of the travelling pants 2
omg its so good. hahaha. the actresses, the plot and the MUSIC! omg. it just fits, like a jigsaw puzzle. hahaha. too awesome to describe. hahaha. btw, this is not one of the shallow shows i watch okay! so yeah, krithika and marisa, you should trust me this once and watch it. if you're the type that values friendship and romance, then this is the show for you. one of the comments for the show was that it was different from the book, but since i hardly ever read books, i thought the show was touching enough on its own.
